ALBION are set for a financial windfall after finishing in ninth position in the Premier League.

West Ham striker Michail Antonio scored the opening goal of the game and at half time Albion had fallen too 13th in the table, but a second half comeback has earned the club millions.

Due to the top half finish Albion are set to earn a total payment of £130.6 million, according to football finance expert Kieran Maguire.

Albion will receive £81.4 million from the equal share of 50 per cent of the domestic broadcast deal which leads to the showing of matches on television, the club will also get £14.2 million for the 15 games that were televised during the season.

For ever game over ten matches broadcasted, it roughly works out as £950,000 extra for a club per match, so therefore Albion made an estimated extra £4.75 million from broadcasted games.

The goals from Joel Veltman, Pascal Gross and Danny Welbeck earned the club £29 million for finishing in 9th place, £9.5 million more than if the club had finished in 13th.

Albion are also set to receive £5.9 million in central commercial deals which are split evenly between the 20 clubs in the division.
