One of RuPaul Drag Race stars has been cast in the upcoming London show of The Addams Family.

The musical comedy will have its inaugural run in the West End early next year, showing at the London Palladium.

While all casting is yet to be confirmed, three of the show’s starring roles have been announced, and one is a regular fixture on the popular queer game show.

Show judge and RuPaul bestie Michelle Visage will star as Morticia Addams in the stage show which runs on Monday and Tuesday February 12 and 13, 2024.

The seasoned performer has also appeared on Dancing with the Stars and hosts a Friday night show on Radio Two.

Currently is touring the UK with musical theatre show Sister Act.

The American personality has won multiple Emmy and Producers Guild Awards for her work, which sees her judge the American, British and antipodean Drag Races, as well as on Queen of the Universe and Ireland’s Got talent.

Before hosting her Radio Two show, she was a staple on US morning radio for 17 years, hosting and co-hosting programmes in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.

She’s also written a best-selling book, The Diva Rules.

Michelle will be joined on stage by Ramin Karimloo, who takes on the role of Morticia’s husband, Gomez Addams.

The veteran stage actor has recently reprised his role of The Phantom in a new production of The Phantom of the Opera in Italy, and his stage credits includes roles in Love Never Dies, Les Misérables, Funny Girl and Jesus Christ Superstar in Concert.

It’s also been announced that Lesley Joseph best known for playing Dorian Green, the neighbour from hell, in sitcom Birds of a Feather, will play Grandma.

Directed by Matthew White, The Addams Family tells the tale of the family chaos caused by Wednesday Addams falling in love with a smart young man from a respectable family.
