MORE Saints injury concerns compounded Saints’ misery in getting knocked out of the Challenge Cup by Warrington today.
Saints were outplayed by the Wolves - and to make matters worse, they also lost packmen Curtis Sironen (elbow) and Alex Walmsley (hamstring) in the home defeat.
Coach Paul Wellens gave an update of both in his immediate post-match press conference.
Wellens said: “We are hoping Curtis Sironen is not too bad, he has an ice pack on his elbow.
“So we are going to have to get that checked out.
“Alex Walmsley has felt his hamstring and with those types of injuries – they are never the sort that are going to be right in four or five days.
“We will send Alex off for a scan and get a more detailed idea of what has gone on.”
Full match reaction to follow.
