A £5,000 grant is up for grabs for Haringey residents as part of Veolia's 2025 Sustainability Fund.

The fund, launched in collaboration with Haringey Council, invites groups to apply for financial assistance of up to £1,000 to enhance their environments and communities.

In celebration of the fund's fifth anniversary, an exceptional project within the UK will be selected to win a £5,000 grant.

Since its inception in Haringey in 2021, the fund has supported 20 projects with over £16,935.

Pascal Hauret, managing director of Municipal at Veolia, said: "Since its launch five years ago, the sustainability fund has allowed us to directly support the communities we serve with over £300,000 in funding delivered since 2021."

In 2024, seven grassroots projects received £6,997 combined.

The fund is open to not-for-profit organisations, community groups, and individuals in areas where the company provides services.

For 2025, the fund has expanded its range to include social projects alongside environmental initiatives.

Cllr Seema Chandwani, cabinet member for resident services and tackling inequality, said: "Creating a greener, stronger Haringey is a shared vision and initiatives like this empower everyone to get involved."

Applications via Veolia’s website are open until September 30.
