A singing clairvoyant and a crystal healer postman are helping a family to find their missing dog.

Desperate times call for desperate measures for mum and daughter, Jacky and Carly Hoy.

The pair have been distraught since their dog, Louis, a long-haired cross-breed terrier, went missing from their home last month.

Louis bolted after being scared by a nearby fireworks display.

But things may soon be looking up after they sought help from the spirit world and were told by both the healer and the psychic their pooch is alive and well in Ponders End.

Mrs Hoy, from Chingford, said: "I am devastated. I have never done anything like this before, but I just had to get help. It's very strange because both of the people told me that Louis may be in the Ponders End area. It's a bit spooky.

"I saw Sue, the clairvoyant, advertised in the paper and a friend told me about Bren, the crystal healer. I didn't tell either of them what the other had said, but they came up with very similar results."

Clairvoyant Sue Downes, from Loughton, was happy to help.

She said: "Some people know me as the singing medium because the information can come to me in songs. In this case though I worked with my spirit guides and cards."

She added: "I really hope the information will help the family to find their dog. This was a quite a challenging case for me and the spirit world, I will be over the moon if we have success."

The crystal healer, known as Bren, a former taxi driver from Thamesmead, also recommended the family search Ponders End.

Mrs Hoy said: "Bren thinks Louis is living with a family. He said railway lines and a reservoir may be significant. I've been putting up posters around Ponders End and we're going to drop off leaflets."

Louis went missing from Mrs Hoy's son's home in Wadham Road, on Saturday, August 27.

Anyone with information about Louis, described as small, grey and white, with no tail or collar, should contact the Independent on 8362 1431.

A £500 reward is being offered for her safe return.
