A fusion of Bangladeshi culture, colour, foods, music and crafts will be on offer at this year's vibrant Enfield Bangla Mela.
Scheduled for Sunday, August 6, the event will start at 12.30pm at Ponders End recreation ground, South Street and will run throughout the day until 7pm.
With the aim of raising the profile of the Bangladeshi community in the borough, residents are invited to embrace the Asian culture. Bollywood dancing will be on offer along with food, henna and face-painting, singing from top Bangladeshi bands and a performance from weekend Bangladesh language school, Kothakoli School, of Swansea Road, Ponders End.
A spokeswoman for event organisers, the Enfield Bangladesh Welfare Association, said: "We will provide opportunities for all sections of the communities of London to come together and participate in the festivity and enjoy good quality entertainment and cultural exposure."
