SAINTS Women have progressed through to the Women’s Coral Challenge Cup semi-final after comprehensively beating neighbours Wigan Warriors 36-0.

They will now face holders Leeds in the semi on Sunday, July 7 with a venue and time to be confirmed.

Leah Burke grabbed a hat-trick, with further tries coming from Lizzie Gladman, Zoe Harris, Emily Rudge and Tara Jones.

Faye Gaskin kicked four goals in the rout at Totally Wicked Stadium in front of 500 supporters.

Burke opened the scoring on 10 minutes after good work from Faye Gaskin and Jodie Cunningham. Gladman crashed over from close range to increase the lead to 10-0.

Eight minutes after the break Harris dummied her way through and dashed to the line.

Saints were soon back for more, with Rudge making a great break, running 50 metres on a tackle-busting run to score under the posts.

On the hour mark, hooker Jones seized the opportunity to go in from dummy half.

On 66 minutes Burke collected Gaskin's cut-out pass to touch the ball down in the corner.

Burke completed her hat-trick to wrap up the scoring.
