Cucho Hernandez and Luis Suarez were among the goals again as four of Watford’s on-loan players scored for their respective Spanish clubs over the weekend.

Having opened his account for RCD Mallorca the previous week, Colombian striker Hernandez wasted no time in scoring his second by netting a superb volley to give his side the lead at Real Betis on Friday when the ball sat up invitingly for him on the left side of the penalty area.

The La Liga clash ultimately finished in a 3-3 draw but the 20-year-old will be keen to continue his scoring form after injury meant he was unable to make his debut until December.

Fellow Colombian Suarez also netted for his second appearance running as Real Zaragoza beat Deportivo La Coruna 3-1 to maintain their promotion push at the top of the Spanish second tier.

The 22-year-old netted his side’s final goal to take his tally to 16 goals in 27 league appearances for Zaragoza to date.

A third on-loan Hornet to strike for his second match in succession was Matheus Aias, but it wasn’t enough to save Mirandes from a 3-2 Segunda Division loss at Extremadura.

The Brazilian secured a 1-1 draw for his side at home to Zaragoza last Wednesday – a fixture Suarez missed through injury - but dropped to the bench for yesterday’s away trip.

The 23-year-old was introduced in the 72nd minute and within two minutes had scored his fourth league goal of the campaign to put the visitors 2-1 up.

However, Extremadura fought back to snatch the win in the latter stages.

Elsewhere in Spain on Sunday, Dimtri Foulquier scored his first goal since returning to Spain as Granada secured a 3-0 victory at Osasuna.

The defender, whose move to the former Pozzo-owned club could be made permanent in the summer, netted the final goal as Granada defeated an Osasuna side featuring fellow Hornets loanee Pervis Estupinan.
