A public health trust has offered to fund community projects across five London boroughs as part of an effort to help people in deprived areas.
The People’s Health Trust has launched the Active Communities funding programme in Islington, Haringey, Enfield, Tower Hamlets and Hackney.
Using money from the Health Lottery, the trust wants to invest in projects which support people living in the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods in the capital.
The scheme is available to not-for-profit groups with an income of less than £350,000 a year which are seeking investment of between £5,000 and £25,000 a year for projects lasting up to two years.
Projects should take place within a small area for a small group of people, such as 20 or 30 streets or a couple of villages.
The closing date for applications is midday on October 16 and to find out more visit www.peopleshealthtrust.org.uk
