A longer footpath and public lavatories are among improvements being considered for a much-loved green space in Harringay.
The Liberal Democrat group is working with a ‘Friends of’ organisation to upgrade the facilities at Ducketts Common, near Turnpike Lane Tube station.
A consultation will soon be carried out to seek views on extending the footpath along Green Lanes and installing a public toilet.
Lib Dem councillor for Harringay ward, David Schmitz, said: "After several years of pushing prams next to speeding traffic on Green Lanes, I want to make it possible to keep within the common.
“As for the lavatories, the lack of facilities is clearly a problem both for park users and for people who are tired of having to witness the use of 'unofficial channels' there, so I want to know what the community thinks about this possibility."
