Police have arrested a 39-year-old man in connection with a stabbing at a music event.
Officers were patrolling Markfield Recreation Ground on Saturday, June 21, when a violent disturbance broke out.
At approximately 9.15pm, a privately organised music event was being held when a group of around 20 people, predominantly from the Eastern European community, got involved in a fight.
A short while later, a 24-year-old Polish man was stabbed. He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital and has since been discharged.
The 39-year-old was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in mid-July.
A 22-year-old Polish national has also been charged with racially and religiously aggravated common assault after a man's kippah was pushed from his head on the same evening in another area of the park.
