Friends paid tribute to a teenager who was stabbed to death.

Flowers and cards were laid outside a house in Maryland Road where 18-year-old Isaiah Ekpaloba was killed on Saturday.

Friends described the teenager as "loved" and "joyous". A card left in the street described "the sickly feeling I got in my stomach when I heard you was killed".

A letter stuck to some flowers said: "I can’t imagine a world without you, the joy you brought into people’s lives is beyond fathomable.

"I was with you on the bus two days before you was taken, and the last thing I said to you was 'Brother, get home safe.'"

Forensic scientists were still examining the scene at lunch time today.

Jaydee Dorsett, 19, of Maryland Road, has been charged with the murder of Mr Ekpaloba, who died after being knifed at around 4.15pm.

Formal identification and a post-mortem examination at Haringey Mortuary on Saturday gave the cause of death as shock and haemorrhage and a stab wound to the chest.

Mr Dorsett appeared in custody at Barkingside Magistrates' Court today and will now be remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, January 14.
