A 13-year-old boy who was hit by a bus in Edmonton has been named as a pupil of a Tottenham school.
David Barcelos, a pupil at Gladesmore Community School, Tottenham, died yesterday as he travelled to the school.
The teenager was running for a bus, in Fore Street, Edmonton, at just after 8am when he was hit by a bus travelling towards Enfield.
London Ambulance Services crew tried to save the boy but he died on his way to hospital.
A post-mortem examination will take place today at Haringey Mortuary.
The driver of the bus stopped at the scene. He was spoken to by police but not arrested.
Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the collision.
