COMMUTERS face five-mile traffic jams this morning after a “serious” motorbike accident in the early hours of this morning.
Drivers are being warned against using the A406 North Circular Road southbound after a serious crash closed the A13 at Movers Lane in Barking at around 3.45am today (August 19).
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said it sent two vehicles to the scene, where they found a man with head injuries.
He was taken "as a priority" to a central London hospital.
There is queueing traffic for five miles and long delays from the M11 interchange at Charlie Brown’s Roundabout in South Woodford to the A13 junction at Beckton Roundabout.
Queues are tailing all the way back to Redbridge and Ilford after this morning’s crash.
