Fire crews acted quickly to remove a gas canister from a house fire for fear it might explode.
Several surrounding properties were evacuated after a house in Pelham Road, Wood Green, went up in flames on Tuesday (March 5).
The London Fire Brigade had to take a hot propane cylinder from the property and cool it quickly in case it exploded.
One man was taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Part of the ground and first floor were consumed in the fire.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Tottenham, Southgate, Holloway, and Stoke Newington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
