Cyclists are set to be able to leave their bikes in designated parking areas in several roads in Haringey.

A notice from Haringey Council in this week’s Enfield Independent outlines the proposals to introduce the bicycle parking places, with the order due to take effect from tomorrow.

The parking places will be two metres wide and 2.5 metres in length and are due to be located in designated areas in the following roads: Belmont Road N15; Christchurch Road N8; Darwin Road N22; Elmar Road N15; Florence Road N4; Keston Road N17; Lancaster Road N4; Lorne Road N4; Queens Avenue N10; Stapleton Hall Road N4.

Meanwhile, roadworks are set to cause disruption to traffic using a number of roads in Enfield this month.

Crane works mean Fox Lane N13, at its junction with Green Lane, is set to be closed to traffic tomorrow and Friday, as and when directed by signs. The work is due to continue on March 11 and 12.

Street lighting works mean parts of Meridian Way EN3, N9 and N18 will be temporarily closed, as and when directed by signs, from 11pm to 6am on both Saturday and Sunday.

The closures will also be enforce between the same hours the following weekend (March 13 and 14) and will then pause before work is due to resume in June.

A section of Brownlow Road N11 is due to be closed to traffic from 8pm on 5am on March 12 due to resurfacing works.

More resurfacing work means traffic will be prohibited from using parts of Cannon Way N14 from 8am to 6pm on March 16.
