Roadworks are set to lead to the temporary closure of several roads in and around Enfield over the coming weeks.

Notices places by Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield Independent outline the closures and other measures that are due to come into force to allow a variety of utility and highway works to be carried out.

A closure is due to come into effect in Oak Avenue for 15 days from Monday.

Traffic will be prevented from entering or proceeding along the road between its junctions with The Ridgeway and Hadley Road, as and when directed by signage.

No waiting and loading at any time measures will also be introduced in the same part of the road at this time.

Restrictions lasting five days are also due to come into operation in Gatwood Green from Monday.

These will involve no waiting or loading at any time and will apply from the junction with Haselbury Road to a point in line with the rear of Nos. 17 to 32 on both sides of the road.

Part of Green Street is set to be closed to vehicles between 12.20am and 8am on June 13.

This will apply to a 20-metre section either side of the level crossing, as and when directed by signs.

No waiting or loading at any time measures are due to be introduced in part of High Street from Monday, June 14.

These will apply on both sides of the road from a point in line with the common boundary of Nos. 200 and 202 to the common boundary of Nos. 226 to 228 and are due to last for five days.

Also from June 14, motorists are set to be prevented from driving along Brooker Road, between its junctions with Leeds Street and Raynham Road, for three days, as and when instructed by road signs.
