A number of streets in and around Enfield are set to be closed for roadworks, including one due to last more than two months.

Notices from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield Independent outline the extent of the closures and any other measures that may be necessary while the works are carried out.

The alternative route will be via Main Avenue, Lincoln Road, Roman Way, Main Avenue, St Mark’s Road and vice versa.

Part of Meridian Way N9 is due to be shut for four nights, also from Monday.

The closure will be in place between the junction with Picketts Lock Lane and Morson Road.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Meridian Way, Lea Valley Road, Nags Head Road, Ponders End High Street, Hertford Road, The Green, The Broadway, Fore Street, Angel Road (A406), Montagu Road, Conduit Lane, Meridian Way and vice versa.

A section of Baalams Lane N14 is due to be closed for one day on September 12.

Traffic will be prohibited from entering and proceeding along the road between the junction with High Street and Mayfield Avenue.

The diversion route will be via High Street, The Close, Mayfield Avenue and vice versa.

A programme of phased resurfacing works will cause the closure of three roads in the EN1 and EN3 areas starting on September 15.

The planned timetable for these works is as follows:
