Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of a teenage girl in 2018 have arrested a seventh person in connection with her murder.

Tanesha Melbourne-Blake, 17, was shot from a vehicle in Tottenham shortly before 9.35pm on April 2 2018.

She had been socialising with friends before she was shot in Chalgrove Road. Tanesha died at the scene.

On July 18 this year, a 25-year-old man became the seventh person to be detained by police investigating Tanesha's death.

He was arrested on suspicion of murder before being released under investigation pending further enquiries.

A 34-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were each arrested for the second time over this case in January of this year. They were also both released under investigation.

Men aged 18, 22, and 26 who were arrested between March and April of 2019 on suspicion of murder remain under investigation.

A final man, aged 50, who was arrested in March 2019 was released with no further action.
