A horror bank holiday weekend across London saw 15 people stabbed and one person killed in a crash. 

This only includes incidents that Newsquest London is aware of and has reported on.

The weekend of August 26 saw a string of incidents in Erith, Woolwich, Notting Hill, Kilburn, Tottenham, Brixton and Kingsbury. 

Information about each incident is from the Metropolitan Police.

Man in critical condition as eight stabbed in Notting Hill Carnival aftermath

Eight men have been injured in separate stabbing incidents at the Notting Hill Carnival.

A 29-year-old man is in a critical condition after being found injured in Warfield Road just after 9pm on August 28.  

Another man, 19, was stabbed in Ladbroke Grove before 8pm and remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Six other men – aged 18, 19, 20, 25, 28 and 40 – were stabbed in separate incidents throughout the evening and have non-life threatening injuries.

There were 275 arrests across the two days of the carnival, with 165 for a range of offences, including possession of offensive weapons, assaults on police officers, drug possession and sexual offences.

Man in his 20s taken to hospital after stabbing in Kilburn

A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Kilburn.

Emergency services were called at 2.25am on Saturday (August 26) to reports of a man suffering stab injuries in Kilburn High Road, at the junction with Buckley Road.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene and found a man injured.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

Two men in hospital after double stabbing in Woolwich

Two men are in hospital after a double stabbing in Woolwich.

Police were informed that a man attended hospital with a stab injury at around 7.20pm (August 26).

Another man was also found with a stab injury in Willow Lane and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Both of their conditions were assessed as non-life threatening.

Man fighting for his life after double stabbing in Tottenham

A man is fighting for his life in hospital and two men have been arrested after a double stabbing in Tottenham.

Police were called to reports of a fight in West Green Road shortly after 3.30pm yesterday (August 28).

Two men, both aged in their 40s, were found at the scene with stab wounds and were rushed to hospital for treatment.

One of the men remains in a critical condition, while the other has injuries that are not life-threatening.

Two men remain in custody after they were arrested in connection with the incident.

Man taken to hospital then arrested after stabbing in Brixton

A man has been taken to hospital and then arrested following a stabbing in Brixton.

The incident happened in Loughborough Road at around 5.30am on August 28.

At the scene, police found a man, 36, who had been stabbed.

London Ambulance Service treated the man and then took him to hospital where he was later arrested.

His injuries are not life threatening or life changing.

Another man, 20, was also arrested.

Police enquiries are ongoing.

Man dies after being hit by bus ‘after fight’ in Erith

A man has died after being hit by a bus in Erith.

The incident happened in West Street at around 10.25pm yesterday (August 28).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man injured.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course as police enquiries are ongoing to identify him.

Officers are also investigating reports that the man was involved in a fight immediately before being hit by a bus.

Man taken to hospital after stabbing near Kingsbury

A man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing near Kingsbury.

The incident happened in Princes Avenue at around 8.25pm last night (August 28). 

Emergency services attended and found a man injured. 

He was treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre as a “priority”.

His condition is currently unknown.
