Two ground floor flats and a bedsit have been damaged in a blaze in a converted house.

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to Green Lanes in Palmers Green, Harringay, just before 9.30am today (September 18).

Part of two ground floor flats inside an end-of-terrace house converted into flats were damaged by flames, London Fire Brigade said.

A first-floor bedsit was also damaged and an outbuilding was destroyed by the blaze.

The brigade's 999 control officers received seven calls about the fire.

Fortunately there have been no reports of any injuries.

@LondonFire tweeted that rivers and pedestrians were asked to avoid the area and locals were advised to keep windows and doors shut.

The brigade had the fire under control by 10.33 am.

Crews from Southgate, Edmonton, Tottenham and Hornsey fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
