Around 25 people were forced to flee a fire at a hotel in Wood Green.

The London Fire Brigade was called to the High Road just before 9.30am yesterday (October 28).

A picture from the scene posted by the brigade showed fire crews outside a Travelodge.

Part of a second-floor air conditioning room was damaged by the blaze, with around 25 people forced to flee.

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled the blaze for more than 90 minutes, with the incident ending by 11.10am.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Road closures were in place while firefighters attended the scene, causing traffic delays in the area.

People were advised to avoid the area while the incident was ongoing.

Crews from Hornsey and Tottenham fire stations attended the scene.
