A woman has died after a “hit and run” crash in Edmonton.
Police were called to A10 Cambridge Road between Church Street and Bury Street at 7.15pm yesterday evening (January 9).
A car had reportedly hit a pedestrian in the area.
London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance both attended the scene, but despite their best efforts a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Met spokesperson said that the driver of the car failed to stop for police.
Officers are still working to inform the woman’s next of kin and road closures remain in place while investigation work is carried out.
