A man has been stabbed to death in a block of flats and police have launched a murder investigation.

Police were called at 7.28pm yesterday (March 1) to a critically injured man, 66, in the communal area of some flats in Lockhart Close, Enfield.

The 66-year-old was found with stab injuries by police and members of the London Ambulance Service, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

DCI Nelson said: "I know that local people will be extremely concerned by this tragic incident, and I can assure them that dedicated detectives are investigating.

"We will do everything possible to find whoever was responsible for this killing," she added.
