HARINGEY Primary Care Trust is celebrating Nurses' Day in Wood Green today.
The PCT will set up a stall in Wood Green shopping centre between 10am and 3pm to mark the contribution nurses make to the community.
It is held on May 12 to coincide with the birthday of Florence Nightingale.
NHS Haringey recruitment manager Sharona Duncan said: "National Nurses' Day is one of the nation's largest health care events. Nursing is an extremely skilled profession, and nurses play a vital role in their communities, providing the best possible care and promoting healthy lifestyles.
"This is an opportunity for us to say thank you to all our nurses."
The PCT will also be promoting nursing careers at the event and recruiting to the range of posts available.
