TUDOR history comes alive when Bruce Castle Museum hosts a special event this weekend.
Visitors young and old can learn more about Sir William Compton, who built the oldest surviving parts of the Grade I listed 16th Century manor in Lordship Lane.
The family fun day also features Tudor musicians and dancers, demonstrations of Tudor cookery and even the chance to meet King Henry VIII.
A Visit to Maister Compton’s House takes place on Saturday, May 30, from 11am to 3.30pm at Bruce Castle Museum, Lordship Lane. Details: 020 8808 8772 or www.haringey.gov.uk
