A MAN has been charged with gunning down a young Wood Green man outside a Caribbean takeaway in Tottenham.

Morris Green, 34, was arrested on Friday and charged with the murder of Damion Blair on February 13.

Mr Blair, of Park Avenue, was shot dead outside the Too Sweet Caribbean restaurant, in High Road, Tottenham, at around 1.15am.

The 26-year-old victim was rushed to hospital but died shortly after arriving from gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Mr Green, who has no fixed address, has been remanded into police custody and is due to appear at Haringey Magistrates Court to face the murder charge.

Michael Barracks, 37, of Chichester Road, Lower Edmonton, was charged with the murder in February, but the case against him has now been dropped.

A 27-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the investigation, and has been bailed to return to police this month.
