MOTHERS will get the opportunity on Monday to discuss their worries over the threat to maternity services in the Hornsey and Wood Green area.
They will meet Karen Jennings, Labour Party parliamentary candidate for Hornsey and Wood Green, and Cathy Warwick, general secretary of the Royal College of Midwives, at the cafe Feast on the Hill, to talk about the potential loss of maternity services at the Whittington hospital.
Ms Warwick said: “We believe that decisions about maternity services should not be dictated by what is going on with other services or by medical staffing considerations.
"The decisions must be about what is best for women and families. Therefore, we call on NHS managers to ensure that women and their families receive accessible, responsive and high quality midwifery services.”
The event will take place at 5pm at the cafe in Highbury Grove.
