A TOTTENHAM man caught with almost a kilogram of cannabis by sniffer dogs has been jailed for nearly two years.
Kenton Bonner, 47, of Vartry Road, was pounced upon by police sniffer dogs during an operation at Farringdon Tube station in April 2010.
He was also in possession of £470 in cash and a quantity of cocaine.
Bonner was sentenced to 21 months imprisonment at Blackfriars Crown Court on August 31.
Drug dogs made a beeline for Bonner during the operation and he was immediately searched by officers.
British Transport Police Detective Constable Karen Sweeney, the investigating officer, said: "Bonner was found with drugs and other items typically indicating he was supplying the drugs – weighing scales, scissors, cling film and multiple mobile phones."
Bonner pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cannabis, possession of cannabis, possession of a cocaine, and possession of criminal property, amounting to £740 cash, at a hearing in July.
