A TOTTENHAM man has today been accused of being involved in a failed attempt to rob an ATM machine in Hertfordshire.
The robbery took place yesterday morning as money was being delivered to an ATM machine at a Shell garage, in Breakspear Way, Hemel Hempstead.
But officers from the Met's flying squad swooped in "as a result of a pro-active intelligence-led operation".
Paul Bryant, 26, of Holloway Road, and two others, Paul Vincent Murcell, 41, of no fixed abode, and Anthony Powell, of Outram Place, Islington, were charged with attempted robbery following the incident.
The three defendants are expected to appear at Brent Magistrates Court tomorrow.
A knife and two vehicles have been recovered and are being examined by forensics.
