CREATIVE young people in Haringey are being encouraged to enter an arts competition to raise the profile of the borough's victim support unit.

The Yes to Peace (Y2P) competition is open to young people aged between 11 and 18-years-old who are being asked to send mobile uploads of 2D art or a photograph using the peace theme as a guide.

Kat Gray, Victim Support's champion in Haringey, said: "We're running this competition to raise the awareness of what Victim Support can do for young people.

"Very few young people in the borough know that we're here to help them. We can offer help and support, as being a victim of crime at any age can be very traumatic."

Entries close on October 8.

Register by e-mailing yes2peace@vslondon.org or ring 020 7448 9873.

The competition is part of Victim Support's Are you OK? campaign aimed at young people.
