CARAVANS belonging to travellers and parked illegally after space ran out at a site in Tottenham have been moved along.
Neighbours lodged complaints with Haringey Council after three caravans parked up in illegally in Clyde Road last month.
When council enforcement officers visited the site they were told by a man that he was just looking after them while their owners were abroad.
He was given a one-month warning to move the mobile homes which he ignored prompting the council to threaten him with confiscation.
Councillor Nilgun Canver, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said: "This had to be dealt with as the caravans were causing an obstruction and taking away parking space.
"It is unacceptable to park caravans like this and the person responsible was clearly warned of the consequences and fortunately, saw sense and moved the caravans."
The caravans have since been moved, the council said.
