POLICE have announced a major investigation has been launched following the rioting in Tottenham last night.
Codenamed Operation Withern, the team is being led by Detective Superintendent John Sweeney.
Forty-eight people have been arrested so far in relation to last night's disorder.
Anyone with information is asked to call police anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
