Tottenham Hotspur have made Porto’s Ricardo Pereira their top target should Kyle Walker depart this summer, according to national reports.
Periera has spent the past two seasons on loan at Nice in Ligue 1 and has largely impressed, making 56 appearances and scoring twice.
Spurs have reportedly started the process of trying to sign Pereira, who is understood to be Mauricio Pochettino’s number one choice to replace Walker, who could be on his way to Manchester City if reports are to be believed.
Porto are thought to be looking for £20m for Pereira, who can play as a right-back or left back.
However, Spurs could face competition for the Portuguese defender’s services, with PSG, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund also thought to be interested in him.
